Explore the TOEFL!

  • What is the TOEFL?

TOEFL, the Test of English as a Foreign Language, is the test that most colleges in the US require of international students to show that they know enough English to take classes at an American university. Now, the TOEFL is given on the computer in most countries, although there are some countries where you will take a paper-based TOEFL. The computer-based TOEFL (CBT) consists of four sections: listening, structure, reading, and writing.

  • How can I prepare for the TOEFL?

In a word, start yesterday! The most effective way of studying really depends on your personality, your learning style, how much you like to study, etc. However, starting preparing for the TOEFL as soon as possible is the most important thing for everyone! TestMagic thinks that the TOEFL does not truly test your English ability; rather, it tests your "TOEFL ability." Since TOEFL English is somewhat different from real English, you should prepare for the TOEFL with well-examined strategies and questions. We provide some information about how to improve scores for each section.
