To start with, I am one of those people who
think that both subjects are important. Personally, I give the same
importance to science or literature.
On the one hand, I know many people who think that when in your career you
have choosen a scientific field you should not give any importance to the
art or literature field because it is a waste of time and it will not give
any new knowledge that you can use in your career. But on the other hand,
there are people who think and suggest, at the same time, that it is very
useful to give importance to both fields of knowledge. How can we skip the
literature field and only focus ourselves in just one field of the
knowledge. Those people say that it is like if you reject one part of your
brain.
My point of view is that we should give the same importance to both
fields, althought in our careers we are focused in one of them. Besides I
Know very good writers in my country who have written lovely books and in
their careers they were doctors or physics. So we should not reject one
field of knowledge just because we are more interesting in the other one.
I see the rejection of one of the two fields like a way of not use the
total capacity that our brain gives us.
