Learn by doing

We are now going to do some analogies that are a little bit harder.

In this exercise, the words will be easy, but the bridges will be a little bit harder.

automobile : fuel

bridge

fuel is the source of energy of an automobile

egg : yolk (the yellow part)

bridge

the yolk is the source of nutrients in the egg

belt : waist

bridge

a belt is designed to be used around the waist in its normal use

curiosity is the desire to gain certain information

the location in which a boxer normally performs her function of boxing is in a ring

the function of a lie is to hide the truth

a book is primarily a collection of many pages

forever : time

bridge

forever means unlimited in time

warm : hot

bridge

warm x 10 = hot; in other words, hot means a greater degree of heat than does warm

analogy

athlete : team

bridge

an athlete is a member of a team; in other words, a team consists of many athletes
